What we learned this week

31 January, 2009

There are at least 3 great bars walking distance from my home.

Ollie the Octopus is adorable, and chalkboard paint takes 3 days to season before you can paint on it (anybody care to exlain that to my very eager to draw 5-year-old?)

Auditorium is cool.

Only one procedural made my Top 20 in TV.

I started a fire for technology in schools. A friend picked up the torch, and I think we just might do something about it. I’m excited to see where this takes us.

Beets are yummy.

I also learned that I can blog everyday, and that maybe a couple of people actually want to read what I have to write.

A successful first week, all the way around! Thanks everybody!

Hi. I stopped by your blog. I have to agree, Ollie the Octopus is adorable. I am sorry about the wait on the chalkboard paint. My two year old decided to go beyond the chalkboard to the foyer walls (how pretty) but, no worries, it washes easily. Nice to blog with you.

Thanks, Ruth! When my 5-year old was younger, he used to draw with chalk all over the walls, too. We’ve actually wanted to do the table top since before he was born.
